Hello,

My name is Chuck Gonzales,

I’m an illustrator and writer of graphic novels for young readers. I live in both Providence Rhode Island, and Brooklyn New York. I have illustrated many books, book series, and book covers for clients such as; Reycraft Books, Great Minds/Geodes Educational Publishing, Chronicle, Harper Collins, Penguin, Scholastic, and Benchmark Publishing.

I wrote and illustrated a series of semi-autobiographical graphic novels for Reycraft Books about Carlos Gomez and his family. Carlos is a young Latinx LGBTQ boy living in South Dakota. He has no athletic ability, a pronounced lisp, and a deep attraction to his glam older sisters’ closet. His older brother gives him sage advice while emptying his piggy bank. The books are funny, relevant, surrealistic, heartfelt, and again, really funny!
